Texas based Company Extends Tronics Microsystems' Custom MEMS Expertise and Significantly Increases MEMS Volume–Production Capabilities for North American Companies

CROLLES, France and RICHARDSON, Texas — Dec. 10, 2008 — Tronics Microsystems SA, a global leader in custom MEMS components and microsystems for demanding applications, announced today the formation of Tronics MEMS, Inc., a U.S. company that will focus on providing prototyping, qualification and volume production services for custom MEMS components for the North American market.

Tronics MEMS, Inc. joins Tronics MedTech in the U.S. and Tronics Microsystems in Europe to position the multi–national Tronics group of companies to best serve customers in North America, Europe and Asia.

Tronics MedTech Acquired by Leading High–Tech Firm, Tronics Microsystems

Advanced Medical Device Design–and–Development Firm Combines Resources With Fast Growing MEMS and Microsystems Company

SUNNYVALE, Calif. — Sept. 10, 2008 — Tronics MedTech, a full–service design and development company exclusively focused on medical devices, today announced that all of its assets have been acquired by its long–time partner Tronics Microsystems SA of Crolles, France. The acquisition allows Tronics MedTech to accelerate its expansion nationally and internationally and add new areas of expertise to its comprehensive device development capabilities.

New medical devices require more intelligence enabled by the integration of sensors and actuators. Tronics MedTech will provide its customers access to Tronics' expertise in the development and production of these specialized components based on MEMS and microsystems technologies for both implantable and external device systems.

"Tronics MedTech and Tronics have a successful history of working together on the development of advanced medical devices," said Enrique Malaret, CEO of Tronics MedTech. "Our acquisition will build that relationship and allow us to expand our geographical and technical scope on an accelerated basis by taking advantage of Tronics' larger international structure."
